General Dental Residency Program
The Department of Dental Medicine offers a fully accredited comprehensive General Practice Residency Program. The graduate dentist is trained to provide primary oral health care to all patients. Residents gain experience across the entire spectrum of dentistry.
Residents are trained to manage medical emergencies in the dental office setting. Rotation to the Departments of Anesthesia and Internal/Emergency Medicine enhances the preparation of the General Practice resident and ultimately the development of a highly qualified clinician.
Interfaith Medical Center serves a diverse patient population, and as a result, residents have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of procedures. In addition, residents will learn practice management through off site visits to private offices and participate in community service through Interfaith Medical Center's Health fairs and special school programs.
